In a Nutshell About Us
"Serving a diverse community by providing holistic behavioral healthcare services and education programs to individuals, families, and groups."
Doris Moore, MS, NCC, CPC, LIMHP, established The Center for Holistic Development, Inc. (CHD) in June 2001 as a community-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit behavioral healthcare organization to provide behavioral health programs, activities, and resources to individuals and families residing in the Omaha community.
From its beginning CHD has consistently developed and added new and innovative programs to its core services of education, prevention, community outreach, and outpatient counseling. CHD continues to fulfill its mission of "serving a diverse community by providing holistic behavioral healthcare services and education programs to individuals, families, and groups" by adhering to a standard of care that exceed industry expectations. CHD's Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer, and staff are completely dedicated to the organization's mission.
Services are provided to children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, educators, and community organizations throughout the greater Omaha area. CHD's office is located in North Omaha, and provides services to a number of populations that are historically underserved by medical and behavioral traditional healthcare organizations. CHD receives referrals from a wide variety of sources including insurance companies, governmental agencies, school districts, churches, community organizations, clients, and the general public.
